Flying Cloud has been in our family for 40 years and was built by George Griffin and Jim Perry in the 1940's. She was the first yacht to race out of the Middle Harbour Yacht Club with the sail number MH1. I have cruised extensively in her and is setup for single handed sailing. The specifications are 32 Ft x 8Ft x 5.25Ft and displacement is 6.5 Tons. Oregon planking 1 1/8" and huon pine deck 1". Three full length stringers and a massive sheer clamp.   She is currently undergoing her 4th refit and is approx 90% complete. Due to major health issues I cannot complete the refit and she has to be sold.   The refit includes the deck has been refastened and requires finishing and Emerclad painting. (Paint supplied) New Raymarine ST40 instruments and ST4000 auto pilot fitted and wiring is complete and operational. Cabling for VHF and HF/GMDSS equipment installed. (Existing HF/GMDSS equipment has been removed.) A new Axis marine radio/cd player is fitted and operational. A Garmin 128 GPS is installed and operational.   The last underwater survey in 2014 reports the "vessels hull is tight and a pleasure to inspect". There is no antifouling build-up  and will need antifouling in June this year.   The engine is a freshwater cooled 3 cylinder Kubota (Japanese D850B) diesel and rated at 18HP continuous with a Hurth HBW100 gearbox and fixed three blade prop. Genuine 250 hours since new. A fully alarmed control panel using Murphy Gauges is fitted. A shaft alternator is fitted which produces 1amp @ 12 volts per knot when sailing over 3 knots. The engine was serviced in March this year including all engine and fuel filters and engine oil and coolant. As part of preventative maintenance the thermostat and water temperature gauge were replaced and a hose to the injector pump was replaced. The engine is fully operational and ready for more work. There are 2 stainless steel 50 litre fuel tanks fitted. There are 2 copper/tin lined 40 litre water tanks.   Two Century N70T deep cycle batteries are fitted (2015 & 2012) with ability to select either one. A solar charging system is installed to keep the batteries fully charged. (These batteries also form part of the internal ballast.)   A half size chart table is fitted and has a switch board installed with the ability to select either battery to discharge. A 240 volt AC 300 watt inverter is fitted to run a shaver or phone chargers. A masthead and deck level Aquasignal nav light system is installed. Spreader lights and steaming light included.   There are two manual Henderson Mk5 bilge pumps fitted. One can also be used to pump out the galley sink. A rule 1100gph automatic bilge pump is installed. This pump also can be operated with an electronic timer to exercise the pump.   Anchoring equipment include a CQR and sand anchor with 37 metres of 5/16" general link chain and 100Ft of 1/2" nylon as well. Fenders and the usual cruising gear and lines is included.   There are 5 headsails (including a new storm jib) and 1 triple reefed main. An as new MPS is included. Sails were serviced before putting into dry storage which included new piston hanks and eyelets where required.   The mast and rigging will need to be inspected and tuned before sailing. The rig is fractional with an outer forestay. A new inner forestay is included.   A sun awning and sail cover together with winch covers is included. The galley has a 2 burner kero stove fitted.   A Goiot bubble hatch is fitted to the coach house hatch.   Vessel requires the usual timber yacht maintenance and ongoing repairs including filling, scraping and painting to your level of finish. The coach house varnish is partially stripped and a work in progress.   Vessel is on a RMS mooring in the Parramatta River, Sydney.   THE LEGAL STUFF. You are bidding to buy not to look.
