Hurley 22PRICED TO SELL - HAS BEEN IN THE WATER FOR OVER A YEAR AND HAS A DIRTY BOTTOM AND DIRTY TOPSIDE FROM BIRDS AND OTHER WILDLIFECOUNCIL MOORING HAS EXPIRED SO WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED ASAP OR THE MOORING TAKEN OVER - http://www.maylandseabay-sc.org.uk/index.php/mooringsOTHERWISE A GREAT BOAT THAT DUE TO BECOMING A DAD I NO LONGER HAVE THE TIME NOR MONEY FORTHERE IS NO ENGINE INCLUDED - I have a 4hp Yamaha 2 stroke outboard available separately THERE IS NO VHF RADIO INCLUDEDCASH OR BANK TRANSFER WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE AUCTION END"Blaze Too" is a Fin Keel Hurley 22 approx 1968She is unusual in that she has a factory fitted stern hung rudder and no outboard well in the aft locker leaving plenty of room for stowage. She has the slightly larger proctor mast and was regularly used for racing until i bought her 4 years ago. When she was lifted out of the water and she was fully refurbished. The hull was epoxied below the water line and all the skin fittings were changed for brand new bronze fittings, including two Blakes valves for the new Jabsco sea toilet. The Hull is sound. On Deck - All the control lines are lead aft to the cockpit with a Clutch and Winch for the halyardsAll the running rigging was replaced in 2015 and new instruments were fitted - NASA CLIPPER DUET (Speed and Depth) and NASA CLIPPER WIND.The standing rigging was inspected by a professional rigger and found to be in great order and slightly oversized, as she was used for racing. There is 20m of chain plus an additional 20m of chain in the stern locker ( i keep it there to distribute the weight more evenly)The Sails - These are a little tired and could do with a service, the Genoa has had a new UV strip fitted in 2014 and the Main has a stack pack with lazy jacks. All controlled from the cockpit. there is a also a Storm Jib in very good condition. All the Sails are made by Kemp.Below Deck - She again is unusual in that she doesn’t have a bulk head but has a factory fitted mast post that extends down into the encapsulated ballast keel.A 2015 Jabsco Sea toiletTwo Ring Gas burner and grill and a sink (but no running water)A Car stereo with speakers for listening to music when at anchorA solar panel and battery charger to keep the battery topped up.The Headlining is factory moulded Fiberglass so no worries of it degrading and it is insulated so there is no condensation build up when sleeping aboard.Because of her long keel and stern hung rudder she practically steers herself and with the trim right you can let go of the tiller and she will just keep going. she is fast and weatherly and an absolute pleasure to sail. She has been in the water all winter and therefore her hull will need a scrub to clean off the barnacles and weed Thanks for looking any questions please don’t hesitate to askSOLD AS SEEN
