Comet 20 Trailer Sailer with a freshly restored trailer.Registration fees are all paid for 12 months on both boat and trailer. Insurance for both is around $240 per year combined.I learned to sail on "Ice Mocha" over the last 12 months and have enjoyed owning her tremendously. I've since just signed for a larger vessel on a mooring so I have to move on from her.I have done a bunch of slight improvements to the boat since owning it but overall it was already well setup when I bought it. I did replace a few turnbuckles, almost all the sheets are new and I replaced a couple of lifelines for safety. I have sailed her with mates, my mum, my daughter and my sister. Its pretty easy to handle, and an enjoyable way to spend the day even if you just put one sail up and cruise around. The Hull has just been repainted white with blue detail colour scheme. So the boat comes with a hoist frame if you want it. Something most boats wont come with. It would need to be adapted to suit another carport though as it is custom made. It does not come with the block & tackle as I use these for other jobs too.The boat has a new toilet which has never been used.2 burner metho stoveWind vaneSails: Main, Jib 1, Jib 2, Spinnaker and spinnaker pole. All in serviceable condition. I had the wire luffs replaced in both jibs so they should see you through. There is a furler but I havent really used it.The motor is an Evinrude twin cylinder 5HP. Model BE5DRENM The motor is serviced with a fresh water pump 12 months ago so should go very well for ages. This is one of the strongest motors of its time and I have been recommended not to sell this motor as they dont make them like this any more but I am happy to see it stay with Ice Mocha. The Keel is a swing keel using a small hand winch.Trailer:DUNBR trailer Just rebuilt and registered with no expense spared:Brand new High capacity electric winch with wireless and wired remote controlsNew 45mm axle and new hubs, new hydraulic brakes, new brake lines, new master cylinder, new surge couplingNew extended draw bar with revised tilt mechanismNew tail lights fitted to new raised side bars (no need to use a light panel when you hit the road)All new rollers on new stainless pinsNew gal winch post with Rubber bow stopIn short, theres not much on the trailer I havent replaced! So you wont have to mess around with the trailer, just go sailing!!Ive priced her competitively but I do need to move on so any reasonable offer will be considered. Here's your chance to get out there and start the adventure. She is a great boat to learn on and if you are hoping to go to a larger vessel one day then its good to make those little errors on a small boat first.Ive not slept on her but with an extra mattress you could sleep 3 adults. I never spent much time inside because the adults would spend time in the cockpit usually. If you want to see some videos of our first couple of adventures, they are on Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRBot-_ar4khttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA4XPrwYmAgIf you are someone who wants to get into sailing and has never owned a boat before, let me know as I would like to put some good karma out into the world and discount the price to help get others into sailing.Inspections welcome at Hornsby. Please inspect before bidding as the auction is the final result.Let me know if you have any questions about whats included.
