1988 Thompson Bowrider Cutlass 190- “NEAR MINT FOR AN 88”This is one of the cleanest 1988 boat you will see.  This boat has a completely rebuilt engine .  It is a 3.7 Liter LX engine (226HP) with an Alpha One Stern Drive.  I bought it, during the winter and I had to put $2500 into this engine when the bearing went and I had to have the entire crankshaft reground along with connecting rods, etc. If I was going to fix it I wanted it done right.   The work was done by an authorized Mercruiser repair shop.  I took it out when I got it back and it ran like a top.  This engine has about 5 hours on it.  I winterized it.  This engine has a sealed system with antifreeze (like an Auto) for cooling the engine, the lake water is run thru only the manifolds as in the normal boat engine.  IThe hull is in great shape with some very minor scrapes from the pier.  It has never been hit and never had any hull repairs.  The interior is exceptionally clean.  The interior is original and has no tears, the vinyl is very soft with absolutely no cracking or fading.I replaced some of the wood backing on some of the cushions with pressurized wood.  There are some very light stains on the dog house.  It has a power trim and electric start both of which work fine.  There is under deck storage for long toys and/or water skis.    There is a Bimini top that I bought to put on, but never did.  I I had the boat and trailer stored inside during winter.  I currently have the boat stored inside.   I purchased this boat when we sold our storage lot and the owner had lost interest in boating and water skiing.  I bought several boats then, but this was the one I was going to keep for myself and it is MY last boat.  Look at my seller feedback and you will find 3 boats sold with satisfied buyers.  I also sold 2 other boats locally, with no complaints.  An auto accident and old age is making it hard to climb around like I used to.  Our family has a pontoon moored in Lake Geneva.  We have used the pontoon exclusively, so I don’t want this one to just sit around when someone can be enjoying it.  I can almost guarantee you will have a great time with this one. The boat also has stainless steel bow rails and a stainless steel Ski eye for easily pulling a water skier or tube. The trailer is a 1988 Shorelander with matching color and name of Thompson painted on it.  There is some surface rust on the trailer, most of which will come off with a good rubbing.  There is absolutely nothing structurally wrong with the trailer.  The trailer has new wires, lights working on it, with a standard 4 prong flat connector and 2” hitch ball.  I also have a master hitch lock which I will include with the Boat.  There is an older custom cover that I have included with it  also if you want to have it repaired. I have also included 2 pairs of Water Skis, Two anchors, 2 Bumpers, and Assorted Ropes, There is a BRAND NEW Tire and a near new one on the other.I have clear title for the trailer and clear boat registration in hand.  I have tried to describe and show the condition of this boat through pictures to the best of my ability.  I feel revealing more information than necessary is better than not saying enough. If you have any other questions, or want other specific photos, please contact me and I will try to answer them and/or email pictures to you.  The boat is located in Volo, IL and if you want to take a look at it, please contact me and I will arrange a time for you to inspect it.  I reserve the right to remove this listing as it also being listed to sell locally.
