A rare and elegant semi-displacement cruiser, well suited and equipped for river, estuary and sea use.'Macaret' has been well maintained and offers a great blend of spacious accommodation, economic cruising and safe sea keeping which is very hard to find at this size. As with all boats of its' age, there is room for some cosmetic improvements and this is reflected in the price.ACCOMMODATION: It has a practical centre cockpit layout which offers four berths in two cabins. SALOON: Wrap-around seating area with table which can convert to a double berth, storage cupboard, beneath berth stowage and a Refleks 66M diesel heating stove. GALLEY: Linear galley to port and aft of the saloon equipped with a 2-burner gas cooker with oven, sink and stowage in various lockers and cupboards. HEADS COMPARTMENT: Located to starboard and fitted with a marine toilet (chemical also included), washbasin, and shower. WHEELHOUSE COCKPIT: Sliding roof. Helm position adjustable seat and fridge cupboard aft to port, navigators seat and short settee berth to starboard. MECHANICAL SYSTEMS Located beneath the wheelhouse sole, twin Perkins 4107 naturally aspirated 47hp 4-cylinder marine diesel engines (rebuilt in 1999). Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Single lever engine controls. Shaft drives to twin 3-bladed propellers. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS 3 x 12V heavy duty batteries (2 x new 2015, other 2012) charged via engine alternators. Shore-power system with ring mains. 300W Inverter. Full cabin lighting. CONSTRUCTION This Jupiter 30 was built in by the Jupiter shipyard, Denmark in 1974 to a Knud Olsen design. Blue GRP displacement hull with off-white coachroof and decks with non-slip surfaces. Rubber rubbing strakes. Wheel steering to twin rudders. 'Macaret' underwent a major overhaul in 1999 including epoxy coating the hull beneath the waterline, rebuilt engines, modern electronics and more. Since then she has been regularly enjoyed and took part in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant as a working rescue boat.
