This TAMAR 24 motor sailer has been abandoned at Dinorwic Marina, and she is now available; offered as seen, with nothing vouched for or tested. The hull has no obvious flaws however; rain water ingress has damaged interior woodwork. The engine is not the original Perkins (which would be blue) but is a more recent 3 cylinder indirect cooled engine. As it is red it may be Beta. It is likely to have been damaged by the rain water ingress and, although it has not seized, will need reconditioning or rebuilding. She has a centre cockpit, wheel house, galley area, forecabin and aft cabin. At some point the heads has been removed and the compartment fitted with shelves. As can be seen from the pictures, the inside is in a sorry state and will need a complete refit. The wheelhouse canopy is relatively new, and is in good condition. The mast and rigging is in place, as are the sails with further sails down below. Their condition is likely to be serviceable. Dinorwic Marina is located on the Menai Strait a few miles south of Bangor North Wales. Any purchaser will need an appropriate trailer, and the means to unload their end. However, Dinorwic Marina staff will load and secure the boat to your appropriate trailer free of charge. Although the marina would prefer the craft to be removed, if required it could remain in its current position but the appropriate storage fees would be payable.
