'Skyfall' is a Trapper TS240 fast cruiser/racer built 1980 to an Ed Dubois design, and is hull number 007. She is fractional rigged with a heavy lifting keel (hydraulically powered) making her ideal for exploring shallow creeks and harbours, although she is just as happy sailing offshore in rough weather if required. TS240's are renowned for their speed and ability to sail very close to the wind. A lot of work has been carried out to keep her in good condition over the years. The keel was overhauled three years ago with a new galvanised box attachment to the bulb, new wire rope and new fittings. She has also had a new set of seat cushions recently, as well as a newish jib sail. A spinnaker pole and recent spinnaker sail is included also. Other improvements include a new set of six auto-inflate lifejackets last year (still in date), a new set of flares, and a comprehensive first aid kit. A proper Baby Blake toilet is also fitted, as well as a good quality Houdini hatch. Auxiliary power comes from an 8hp Mariner 2-stroke which fits into a well in the cockpit, and a new last year 110AH marine leisure battery provides power. The radio is a Seacom, and she has a full complement of NASA Marine instruments including Depth, Wind Speed, and Speed over the water displays. An Autohelm is also included in the sale. All the control lines run back to the cockpit, making her an easy solo sailer. All the cabin and navigation lights work as they should, and the only thing really required is a quick blast off of the winter’s seaweed from the antifoul which was renewed last November. Apart from that she's ready to go. For future seasons, the mainsail is a bit tired at the edges, so I've allowed for the price of a new one in the asking price, but the existing sail is perfectly useable. A yard trailer is also included in the sale. I've enjoyed sailing her, but I'm now selling as I want to go back to a fishing boat, so an outright sale is preferred please, although I would be interested in a swap for something like a Raider 18 or similar. 'Skyfall' is available to view on her pontoon berth at Eastney, Portsmouth at any time by arrangement. Any questions, please email or call me on 07710 792 891. Thanks for looking.
