ZOETJE - 'Sweet One' in Dutch - was built by
the Campden yard in Holland in 1962. Her construction is clinker mahogany on oak frames. Here again for sale as the previous buyer proved unable to complete the purchase.I fell in love with her and bought her from Tom Fisher about a year back. Owning one of the sea-kindly, capable yachts is a dream the I have had ever since learning to sail in the 1950's. Truth is I have left it a bit late and need to pass custody of ZOETJE to someone younger than me. ZOETJE is presently ashore at the Harry King yardPin Mill, Suffolk, where she can easily be viewed. The early pictures in this advert (1-4) were taken as she was hauled out just after I bought her. The later pictures were taken last week and reflect the fact that her deck finish and varnishwork will need to be stripped and redone. Her condition I believe to be generally sound, but clearly she will need love and elbow grease to prepare her for sailing this season. Having taken the decision, I now do need to sell her (my wife insists). Frankly I am far more interested that someone will care for and use this fine small yacht than ultimately how much she sells forShe comes with a serviceable suite of sails which are in dry storage. The is a traditional roller reefing mechanism for the jibHer mast (wooden) and boom are also dry stored.A mooring is available by negotiation with the yard on the beautiful river Orwell. adventures in her previous ownership:
