I bought this boat in 1969 and had a lot of fun with it through 1971. A friend wanted to drive it and promptly hit a sand bar with the propeller. The last two pictures displayed here, are from the last time it was in the water. The very last picture is of 'the friend' prepping to be pulled on skis, after which he asked to drive it, where I am told that it probably busted a shear pin. I am not a boat person so I did not verify the shear pin issue. All I know is that the motor still ran super good, but the prop would not spin. I put the boat in the back of my pole barn where it sat until last fall (2016). After 45 years of storage I no longer have an interest in, or good enough health to restore it. From pictures I have seen online, it was modified. I believe it would have originally had a hood scoop, bench seats, and a different windshield, (there is a pattern with the boat for a new plastic windshield, but I don't think it is the original design). Through the storage years it was subjected to a leaky roof above it, (until the roof was replaced in 1998), and many items being placed on top of the boat. I don't see any signs of dry rot, but it will have to have some of the veneer replaced, and repaired on it, with a total refinish of all wood surfaces, except the hull. The trailer will also need new paint. The tires are both original from the time of my purchase, and have had tubes put in them. They held air all winter, but there is no spare. The trailer has been modified to haul a couple of motorbikes, (if the boat is lifted off). The tail lights work good but you will have to bring your own plug to wire them to. The old plug was broken in storage, long ago. The boat never had a cover. and when you come to pick it up, you might want to pick a nice day. I will be able to help you wire the new plug, that fits your receptacle. Many of the trim items go along with it but I never had any of the hood scoop trim. Trim items include the original red/green light, speedometer, and other aluminum trim pieces. The hitch is a 1 7/8 " ball receiver. Sold "as is" so you are welcome to come inspect it, just call in advance. Once again, "I am not a boat person." so you may call with any questions and I will do my best to answer, (989-463-3822). Please leave a message if I am not at home. I am an old car buff, and I would consider the boat to be a class 4 or 5 (in car rating terms), restorable but in need of lots of TLC. Serial number is TY 8561
