Freeman 22 Mark 1 Cabin Cruiser, this boat has been stored on hard standing for some years now, as can be seen in the last photo there was water inside the boat from leaking windows, so the hull is sound and watertight, the boat will need a lot of work to make it a nice boat again but well worth it as these are a sort after boat for inland waterways use, the water was pumped out of the boat this weekend so it should start to dry out now.(unless we get some heavy rain) A full refurbish was started some years ago and as is the case with a lot of projects it has stalled never to be started again, most of the woodwork was stripped out ready for the refurbish and is still with the boat, but due to the ingress of water some of the woodwork will need replacing, but you will have the pattern for this from the old pieces which are not serviceable The new canopy although being on the boat for some years has not been used and I believe will clean up very nice, there are no rips or tares I can see, even the plastic windows are very clear with no scratches or clouding, this alone would cost £500-£600. There is a petrol engine fully marinised (4 cylinder Ford) marinisation by Wortham Blake with a gearbox attached, condition of this is not known as this is not the original out the boat, it will surely need some attention after the years of being stood, but all parts are available and cheap to get hold of, this is not fitted into the boat so will need to be installed once sorted. All the original Freeman parts seem to be with the boat such as Steering wheel lights etc etc, I am listing this item for a friend who does not have an E-Bay account, the boat is located in Carnforth Lancashire and is in a marina with slipway facilities which can be used to get the boat onto a trailer, once a collection date is agreed, should it sell, the boat will be launched in the slipway ready to be trailered away by the new owner on his trailer, we can assist with getting the boat onto the trailer. Now the best bit, the auction starts at 99p with no reserve, so this could be a real good opportunity for someone who has the time and skills to sort this boat out.
