Robert Tuckers Caprice 19 foot bilge keel yacht, we believe she is the mk4, because she is all GRP, built in the 1970’s. Our Caprice has had extensive work undertaken and last September we launched her and she has stayed on her mooring since. We have recently had a change in circumstances and we can no longer pursue the hobby of keeping our boat. In fact, we have listed many, many items to raise funds. We were going to spend a day tidying the final bits of headlining, but we feel that being the new owner you may want to do this yourself. So the pictures are honest and where taken just over a week ago. We do not have a trailer and the Caprice is sheltering in a harbour at the moment. It has been very limiting to add only 12 photos, if you would like more then we can e mail them to you. We have a swinging mooring in the estuary which is very close to our harbour mooring and we could be open to negotiate the change of ownership or you could become a member of the harbour mooring and keep her in the harbour. The fees are very low and again and we can talk about this if you wish.We would recommend popping down to view her. But if you are happy with taking a look at the photo's, then that's okay. But, please do not bid to have a look and then let us down. Since owning the Caprice we have undertaken quite a lot of work and have included the following items too; ·         Sanded back the old pain work and repainted ·         Anti-fouled ·         Sanded back all the woodwork and varnished ·         Re-sealed all the deck fittings ·         Fitted new polycarbonate windows ·         Fitted out headlining ·         Installed 12 volt power, with one leisure battery and a solar panel. ·         Electrics panel ·         Manual electric whale bilge pump in the sail locker ·         Whale sensor bilge pump in the main bilge area ·         12 volt external electrical socket external appliances ·         Deck fitting for mast light power, which is a tri-colour light, Nasa Supernova LED Tricolour Light ·         Anchor light ·         Depth and speed instrument panel. ·         New self draining cockpit fittings, including new pipe work and skin fittings. ·         New fire extinguisher and fire blanket ·         Man over board sling ·         Three life jackets ·         Two anchors, one with chain and rope and one with rope only. ·         Cobra hand held marine radio (New) ·         Deck Paint, anti foul, anti slip. The Deck paint is a new tin and the anti foul is open and so is the anti slip. But, you will know which brand we have used for future reference. ·         Inshore flares, one pack are in date and one pack is out of date. ·         Sauce pan, kettle and frying pan ·         Fenders ·         Winch handle ·         Wind direction indicator ·         All the sails and rigging
On 21-Apr-17 at 10:00:59 BST, seller added the following information:We are overwhelmed by the interest for our Caprice and the question which is popping up a lot, is about the mooring. We pay £120.00 per year, for our harbour mooring, tender mooring and swinging mooring. So it makes it very cheap to keep. The harbour mooring is a drying mooring and the swinging mooring is on the Lower Exe, which is a sought after area. The swinging mooring is around 100 meters or so, from Cockwood harbour. Which makes it very easy to get to. And you are able to sail from the swinging mooring on a neap, but the mooring is still accessible to gain maintenance access on the lowest neap of the year. And finally we do have a 12 foot tender, which is very robust and again in a prime location in the harbour, which we could include if you would like the whole set up.
On 22-Apr-17 at 10:03:18 BST, seller added the following information:This morning we are going down to the boat to leave a ladder on board and leave the keys at the harbour. This will allow everyone to visit the boat and look inside too. If you would like the keys, please message me and I will give you the instructions on how to get them. This is on a honesty basis, so please respect our property and good will.
