Own a Piece of British Naval Maritime History. It is with sad regret that Caretta is Up for Auction, due to new Business Commitments.  Caretta is an ex Royal Navy vessel steeped in History, Built in 1898, she has served in many conflicts. Please use the link below to read all about Her. I have owned her for nearly 3years with the intension of restoring her to her former and much deserved glory.  My intension was to get her restored and either live on her, or hire her out for weekends or nights on board a vessel of British naval History. Some friends of mine recently paid £80.00 for one night aboard a modern 30foot Yaucht!!! This sort of money would give someone a good little extra Income and help greatly with her up keep.  She is currently undergoing a full hull makeover which includes removing all old paint, anti fouling and caulking. She is 2 thirds prepared at the time of writing this (April 2017) She has some timber repairs to be carried out, please see attached pictures. This project requires someone with a passion, time and some spare money to complete her.  Most of her repairs and re decoration are labour intensive and due to a new business start up, I no longer have the time hence she is up for sale. Grants can be obtained to help with restoration cost from various maritime trust funds. She is currently on the hard standing at Tollesbury Marina, Essex, Which costs £201.00 per month, there are full facilities available.   The interior really just needs a good clean and re-decoration.
