Up for auction is my 16' steam boat. The beam is 5'.Steam plant has been removed. It was built in 2002 following the success of my 12' version. The design is based on Selway Fisher's Rose. The construction is the stitch and tape method.6mm ply reinforced with 4oz glass cloth and West Systems epoxy to the inner seams and a full 4oz glass cloth skin to the outside again with West Systems epoxy.Includes rudder, tiller, 3/4" prop shaft, coupling, prop and trailer.I can also include a trailer board and span set for the trip home. The tiller is oak and the coaming and stem are mahogany. The interior is fitted out with a bench seat at the bow. There are storage lockers fore and aft with hinged lids and mahogany edging. This boat is completely water tight but does need a little TLC to some of the inner frames and external paintwork. There are no structural issues and the boat could be used as is.Originally powered by a coal fired boiler and 2"x 2" steam engine but could be propelled with many different power plants if required. How about an electric launch or a classic petrol engine. The trailer is in good solid condition and has new tires fitted. It is built from heavy gauge angle and thicker than average box sections so despite a little surface rust, it is solid. Please come and view anytime to see what you're getting and discuss value.Any questions what-so-ever, please give me a ring on 07789 373933.Relisted due to original buyer being unable to arrange storage. Thanks for reading and happy bidding.
