For sale is my 1985 steel cruiser. It was taken out of the water last year and is currently chocked up ready for a survey. It's a pretty versatile craft which would serve equally well as a family holiday boat with sleeping for 4 people or as a 1 or 2 person liveaboard. The fore cabin has a dining table and seating for a family with oven, hob, fridge and sink all close by. The seating which is in good condition and tasteful converts quickly to a double bed. There are also colour coordinated cushions, curtains and porthole covers. The aft cabin has a double sized bed with lots of drawer storage areas, a radiator and once again matching curtains and porthole covers. Also in the aft area is a shower room with water heated by gas and a cassette toilet. There is a small hall area which contains the boat's switchgear panel and heating controls as well as further storage. In the midships is the cockpit with steering wheel control and floor panels for access to the engine compartment. The engine is a Beta diesel and is a later modification to the original engine. The fuel pump was replaced last year. The cockpit has a removable fibre glass roof and also houses the inverter. The boat has had a replacement bottom at some point and thin metal or rust are not issues as all the steel is good. The length of the boat is approximately 30 feet with the beam 9 feet at its widest point. If you are looking for a narrow boat to live on, you would probably need something in the area of 40-45 feet to get living space comparable with this boat and of course the extra mooring and licensing fees that a longer boat would cost every year. The boat is ready to go and will be safety certificated for 4 years and hull blacked prior to purchase. It can be craned into the water in its current location or indeed craned onto a lorry for transportation elsewhere. The price is negotiable as it does need to be sold following a change in personal circumstances. Viewing and surveys are welcome but as the boat is in a working boatyard, it is strictly by appointment only. Please call 07949 644210 to arrange or if you have any questions.
