Due to a new arrival in the family, we are selling our narrowboat. She's in partly refurbished condition and waiting for an owner to put their mark on her. She's got fantastic head room (6 ft 4 man living aboard with room to spare) and was built to live aboard so has enormous water and diesel tanks. The living area consists of a pair of pew type sofas with storage underneath (make up into a double bed), a handy open space with hatch (great for a dining table) and an Epping classic stove. There has been some leakage over winter from a mis-aligned mushroom and the stove and ceiling will need some work. The galley kitchen has a porthole on one side and a hatch on the other so is always full of dappled sunlight at this time of year. Moving through to the bedroom, there's a raised, fixed bed with chest of shelves/drawers below and storage behind. The bathroom is at the rear before the engine room. As you'll be able to see from the photo, this has been stripped back.The engine is a marinised Deutz engine which served a short term as a bilge engine on a Navy ship before being repurposed and it drives a hydraulic drive. She was last out of the water in 2014, blacked and new anodes added (no other work necessary). BSS until 2018. There is work to be done on electrics (lights down starboard side not currently working), gas (brand new regulator but need new hose from bulk head to regulator and plumbing (shower outflow and kitchen sink need re-attaching) and superficial decorating throughout. There's 230V sockets throughout and the potential to refurb the existing wind turbine and solar hot water tank on the roof (these aren't currently operational).Included in the sale will be several gas cannisters, waterways maps, inverter, twin tub washing machine etcAny questions or to arrange a viewing, drop us a message.
