This is a super deal for you if you are not afraid of investing a good bit of time to refurbish this boat. I am the original owner. This is the original fiberglass Sunfish, built by Alcort in 1963 (The Sunfish design was later purchased by AMF). The color is white with blue splashguard. The sail is white Dacron (colored sails were Nylon). The hull needs a lot of work. It has several splits in the fiberglass, but repairable. The foam flotation will have to replaced; also the aluminum molding that binds the top and bottom together. The trailer is homemade (I made it myself in 1971 or 72), and is modeled after the trailer Alcort sold for the Sunfish back in the day. In other words, it is a perfect size for the Sunfish. The tires are dry-rotted, but may still make to your house. The trailer does also need some work, including new lights, but is structurally sound (except maybe the springs, but I do have some replacements). On the plus side, the sail, mast, spars are in good shape. The daggerboard is original; the rudder a replacement. The rudder was damaged, patched with fiberglass, and should still be serviceable. I have all the hull hardware, though not attached.I wanted to refurbish this for my grandchildren, but alas they only exist in the mind of my son right now, and the boat is taking up room. The sail and rigging are worth the asking price. You can pay through PayPal, but cash in person is fine, too.Local pickup only. Come to see it in person. Meanwhile, message me with any questions.
