Up for auction at a, VERY low reserve price is a 1973 Pearson 30 (PHIXIUS). I am listing this for a client (I am their diver). All information provided is from them. They purchased this boat last year with the intent of converting it to wheel steering. Everything you need to do that is on board the boat and is included with the purchase (see pictures). This is a very clean and nice boat but it does have a few things that need to be fixed before any "serious" sailing is done but can be motored or sailed as is. The bulkhead on the port side between the salon and head area needs to be replaced. Over the years, water has leaked in and rotted the bulkhead out (see photos). They were made with press board with a fake wood grain laminate. This is a deck stepped mast and could be fixed with the mast in place by anyone with some basic skills. If you do the work yourself you should be able to do it for about $100. The owners have upgraded the lighting on the boat. The GOOD news about this boat is the brand new Universal motor. Less than 40hrs. I delivered the boat for the owners and it motored beautifully. The bottom is due for paint but is cleaned every month and rarely has more then just some algae on it. Included is the dinghy which is pictured. Very nice portlights. Sails are in excellent condition. This would make a great liveaboard and cruiser for somebody. If you like the tiller steering, sell the wheel steering and that will pay for the bulkhead replacement and then some.
