2001 Dufour Gibsea 33 “Duval” Due to a recent change in circumstances it is with much regret we are selling our lovely Gibsea 33 “Duval” We purchased “Duval” in 2015 ready for my retirement to Devon.  She was in quite good condition when we purchased her although the survey did make some minor recommendations regarding things like checking the exhaust elbow due to the age and more major things like the age of the standing rigging. We had her lifted at Dell Quay in Chichester, to have the work done in preparation for the sail down to Plymouth and what was hoped to be many years of retirement sailing. I decided to spend, what turned out to be a considerable sum on her with the intention of keeping he for many years, cruising the South West, the Channel Islands and France. Some of the work and improvements are as follows:   Copper Coated hull All New Standing Rigging ready for the 2016 season Omni-direction TV antenna and LED TV New furling system and gear Replaced most of the running rigging, inc Main Sheet, Jib Sheets, Kicker, Topping New Lazy Jacks and refurbished stack pack New holding tank waste skin fitting and sea cock New propeller nut and rope cutter Replaced anode and earth continuity check Replaced exhaust elbow (As it happened the old one was in good condition) Engine serviced and 2 slight diesel leaks repaired Replaced Volvo shaft seal Refurbished emersion heater, rewired and time switch fitted Refurbished Eberspatcher diesel cabin heater Refurbished helm instruments including latest Raymarine plotter New Autohelm drive. We had an Lewmar electric anchor windlass fitted Barton mainsheet traveller fitted. (The 33 was built without a traveller system) New VHF with AIS networked to the plotter.   We had a full cockpit awning fitted with zip-on sides to allow the top to be used as a Bimini and with the sides zipped on the cockpit becomes fully enclosed and warm. In addition to all the work and additions the boat has been maintained to a very high standard with things like a full hull cut and polish, new propeller and anode in the last 3 months and I have just had a Barton Boom Strut system fitted to enable me to forget the topping lift, which was a nuisance when single handed.Dimensions
