Here we have a lovely traditional clinker built boat made on lake Windermere in the 1940s for the bowness boating company, she has spent all here life on Windermere as a hire boat last year they made the decision to decommission 12 of them and sold them off I was lucky enough to buy one I had great plans to sand back all the wood and re varnish her but 12 months on she is still the same I have made the difficult decision to let her go to somebody who will give her the love and attention she deserves.She has an inboard Stuart turner 2stroke engine with forward and reverse gear she is water cooled the engine no is 41r384She has a built in petrol tank in the bow She has a brass propeller and no play in the prop shaft Her length is 4 metres width 1.6 mtr and a draft of 25cm There is some water damage to some of the varnish as you would expect for a boat that lived on the water for 8 months of the year a couple ,of the planks have had small repairs at some stage in her life With a bit of tlc she would look great moored at the end of a jetty on the Norfolk broads or on the Thames The engine hasn't been run since I got her the turns over but I would imagine the carb and fuel lines will want cleaning she was running when we picked her up and with no problems apparently these engines are bulletproof that's why the used them in rental boatsThere isn't a trailer included with the sale she is sat on a launching trailer at the minute so I can move her around (I've long term borrowed it of a friend )I do have a craine lorry at work that will lift her onto your own trailer of pickup (when I collected her we used the boat yards hoist onto my ifor William flat bed trailer and I brought her back on that with no problems I could possibly borrow a boat trailer and deliver at a cost but only relatively locally and you would need to have means of lifting her off at your end Would prefer cash on collection Based in Grimsby Usual eBay rules applies I reserve the right to end early More than welcome to come and have a look but contact me first as kept locked away
