"Clara" (our hull #324) is the original, beautifully designed 24’ Gaff Rigged Cornish Crabber Cutter by Roger Dongray and has provided me more than 20 years of sailing and cruising joys, challenges and unfailing reliability.  With her shallow draft ability, you can explore areas offbound to other vessels but equally sail rough seas in confidence.My original decision to choose a “tough” vessel with a working boat heritage has served me well, i.e., stout, forgiving and very amenable to modifications I needed for me to be a single hander in a small vessel, often in severe condition. For purists, she can be reverted to original configurations; original parts (including sails, Sitka spruce mast and spars) are included in the sale. Her systems, rigging, hull and power have been well maintained. True course sailing, set the tiller and lots of hands free sailing.  While she could use a bit of brightwork, cosmetics, new cushion covers, her overall condition is very sea worthy as is. A couple of items which you may want to address is a (1) grinding down and filling a seam in the resin part of floor in one area of port aft and (2) attention to rudder at some point.  Neither impedes the seaworthiness or sailability of Clara for many years to come.Presently lying in beautiful Pensacola, Florida and at the ready, she is outlasting me and needs a new companion to carry on!
