Reluctant sale of our 1980 Verl 900 yacht, in exceptional condition! Completely and lovingly refurbished over the last 5 years, with no time or expense spared. If you have been vainly searching for a clean and dry 30’ yacht with just about everything done, this is it! Designed by Robert Clark (of Gypsy Moth III and British Steel fame) and solidly built in Britain “in excess of Lloyds of London specifications” according to the original literature. Full details, inventory, lots of pictures, some videos and slide shows are on our website here: As well as a showcase for our yacht 'Verlesque' on our website we host all the Verl 900 technical data and pictures of many other Verl 900s with comments from the owners about their sailing attributes. * Can also be viewed afloat in MDL marina at Brixham, Torbay, Devon. *Attractive, robust, seaworthy masthead sloop; a pleasure to sail. * GRP encapsulated fin keel, no rusting keel bolts to worry about! * Hull professionally epoxied against osmosis in 1999 by boat yard, documentation provided. * 9.22m (30’3”) long, 2.97m (9’7”) beam, 1.45m (4’9”) draught. * 5-6 berth, over 6’ in cabin headroom, forward-facing chart table, galley, heads, coats cupboard. * 45% ballast ratio, 397 sq ft Sail Area, 16.41 SA/Displacement ratio, 6.56 kts hull speed. * Original maker’s literature, design and performance data, sailing press reviews etc all on website. * Detailed maintenance and repair history (since we bought it in 2011) all on website. * New sails, standing and running rigging, guard wires, skin fittings, seacocks and hoses. * New stackpack, spray hood, boom, spinnaker pole and Lewmar anchor in 2013. * Skeg-hung rudder renovated and all bearings replaced in 2012. * Main instruments include new NASA depth, log, wind, battery monitor, AIS, Navtex, plus a Windex and Raymarine auto helm. * New Standard Horizon GPS radio and Standard Horizon 180 Chart Plotter with September 2016 charts.* Spare back-up Cobra DSC radio and Stingray depth sounder. * Re-powered in 1996 with Volvo MD2020 and 120S Saildrive, both regularly serviced. * Saildrive removed and overhauled, new oil seals, diaphragm and fairing renewed in 2012. * New throttle and gear shift cables fitted in 2016. * Bronze folding propeller fitted in 2007. * Three good marine batteries with Voltage Sensitive Relay for evenly distributed charging. * LED lights inside and out. * Spare mainsail and genoa, plus a cruising chute and storm jib, spare anchor, bosun’s chair etc. For full details be sure to visit our website:
