Reduced by £250 Waveyrider Wanderer 20ft Motor Cruiser. She is an old girl I don't know how old. I bought this boat locally last year to use as a day boat on Loch Ken in Dumfries and Galloway just 10 minutes from my home. The boat was used a dozen or so times last year during which I started an interest in Pike fishing hence the boat is up for sale as I want to buy a more usable boat to fish with. Can part ex with cash either way if you have a Orkney, Shetland type boat and trailer. I have stayed overnight in the boat and it is perfectly usable but not really for fishing with. There is the 2 burner hob with gas cylinder and a porta loo (unused), sink with power cold tap, and electric bilge pump. There are 2 interior lights and one external spotlight. A Solar panel charges 2 Leisure batteries efficiently, a 20 litre fuel tank and anchor. A ship to shore radio and depth meter. Both turn on and illuminate but I have never used either. The trailer was bought new by the previous owner to travel down to York to collect the boat from the river ouse and return to his home where it sat, boat attached, for about 2 years unused. I would estimate it has travelled no more than 500 miles in total and only lowered into fresh water use by myself (available separately £1500) . The engine runs fine and allows us to chug along I have never had it 'flat out' as I have no need or interest to do this, but it is not a fast boat I would say its a slow boat with this 20hp engine.I have been told this Mariner engine is made by Yamaha but cannot confirm this. The engine is electric start and manual tilt. Probably do with a service but runs fine. Can be tested at my home which any potential buyer needs to do. I will use the boat again for fishing if I cannot sell her but I am after a more usable boat to fish withThe trailer (available separately) is very low mileage and has only been lowered into fresh water. The previous owner has painted the boat whilst sat on the trailer and there is some paint spillage onto parts of the trailer. The access doors slide fore and aft and the 'tailgate' lifts as shown in the photo, this can be held open by the two fingers attached to it or a DIY homemade L bracket given to me by the previous owner. There is a mains hook up at the rear (not tested)The ladder on the side has not been used by myself. It is weight dependent. The exterior spotlight and interior lights have never worked and I have just not got round to looking at why they don't. The window wiper does work, I removed a set of chrome horns from the deck to allow us to fish from I will include these, they just need re connecting.Although the seating/sleeping cushions work practically, they would do with being replaced. The interior could do with a re paint if you want to smarten it up and some of the paint is flaking off. The front to cab windows have been replaced and are quite clear but the others are probably original and show signs if their age. If fact the boat shows signs of age, viewing will be best, but it is functional for a lock, lake, canal boat leisure use on a cheap budget.I have been as honest as I can be and if you need any more information please ring me, Peter on 07738262910 for more details.
I have included a photo of the seating area to show that a previous owner has cut away the plastic, I am not aware why but they have screwed the remaining plastic sheet back into position Can deliver but need to discuss first
Can I point out we are in Dumfries and Galloway DG7 ScotlandI know there will be questions so please ask.I have been informed the boat is a Mark 1, Waveyrider Wanderer, 533. It is GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) or fiberglass, if you prefer. They were made primarily for the Norfolk Broads, I should also say that it is 6ft 10inches beam, which is ideal for canals, even the narrow locks etc.I also need to make clear that this advert is for the boat ONLY.....the trailer is available separately (£1500)Thanks
