Hillyard 9 Ton Cutter Project.'Chaletta' is a 1956 9 ton hillyard cutter. 30ft hull with 6ft bow sprit.built from pitch pine and mahogany, they are solid and seaworthy boats.In need of a new home and some TLC to get her back on the water.Lovely deep center cockpit, wheel steering through cable and chain.large saloon with standing headroom, sink and gas cooker. forward cabin and chain locker with 2 closing wood panelled doors from the saloon.Lots of storage throughout, including 2 hanging lockers and a large cupboard with shelves.aft cabin with heads on right, jabsco sea toilet and shower.calorifier and immersion tank providing hot water onboard (not tested)Electric windlass, 30m of galvanized chain, large anchor.6 murrays brass winches, original to the boat. value of winches alone reaches through the £2000 mark.40hp perkins diesel, turns freely by hand but hasn't been run up and needs a throttle control, cables are there.Shore power system has been upgraded with new 240v sockets added.Sails in good condition, UV strips faded on 2 headsails, but mainsail is immaculate. (genoa in tan - OK staysail in tan - Good Mainsail in white - Great)hull is generally sound - however the starboard side garboard plank needs replacing or scarfing due to a rotten patch.above the waterline hull condition is good - caulking still tight and planks dry. the majority of work needing completing is cosmetic.mast, bowsprit and boom are in good condition but need varnishing.interior upholstery condition good, with cushions for every bunk and seat.philips gps, raytheon radar system.
