Cornish Coble Day Boat (Project) I bought this boat in 2000 and it has been stored on the hard ever since. In 2008 I decided to do it up as a project but sadly I never got around to finishing it and am very reluctantly having to accept I never will finish it. It was made when Westerly Boats made the Coble. The previous owner had painted the hull but as you can see it has been sanded down ready for painting. I had new hard wood gunnels made and along with the mast and bowsprit they have been finished in marine varnish ready for fitting. I have cut out new deck boards , centre board / rudder from marine ply but they need finishing off along with the other various. Although the rigging etc is all there it will need replacing. There is an old seagull outboard which will fit on the stern which I will include. It hasn't started for years but has been stored dry and isn't seized (Its a Seagull!!) Apart from the hull everything has been stored in a garage. The original sails are included along with a set of new sails which were used for approx. 2 seasons so in very good condition. For those of you that know the Coble its a great day boat and handles the sea really well. As its a project boat with lots of bits I am more than happy to answer any questions or for people to come and have a look. Its a reluctant sale but I have to be realistic and admit that its time for it to go. If you have the time then this would be an great family boat or there is definitely profit to be made from completing the project. Paypal or cash on collection please.
