SEAL 22 YACHT WITH MOORING
Estimated price for orientation: 310 $
Category: Sailing Boats
Class:
Description Year: 1978 Type: Cruiser Hull Material: Fiberglass Make: SEAL Rigging: Sloop/Cutter Keel: Drop Length (feet): 22
For sale is my Seal 22. I am selling her with her mooring fees and harbour dues payed up until 1st April 2018. I will transfer these over once the boat has a new owner. The tender is a pram dingy which also comes with a chain mooring in Itchenor and harbour dues payed until April 2018. These will also be transferred over. It has paddles and Seagull outboard which has just been serviced. She is moored in Chichester harbour at Itchenor .The Seal 22 was designed by well known Angus Primrose, the idea was to produce a spacious day sailer /weekender seaworthy enough for coastal passages.I have to say she sails brilliantly in all conditions. She has spent most of her life on the Thames and East Coast in fresh water and stored in the winter months by the previous owners I am told. She has her original gel coat and has never been painted. I have replaced the deck rails, two new stantions and added a pulpit. She has been varnished all over, antifouled and painted inside just before we launched her in April.I have installed a Plastimo Roller Reefing system for the Genoa with all the fittings that it required. The sails are in excellent condition and very clean. I have had the Genoa adapted for the Roller Reefing system and a new blue UV strip professionally sewn in . The mainsail also has roller reefing by means of a handle on the boom. I will add some photos of the sails as I will be rigging them this week. The keel can be dropped or raised via a winding handle from the cabin. She only draws 2ft when up but 4ft when dropped. The rudder also can be raised or lowered, this is very useful as her rudder is quite large.Because of her rudder size she is very manoeuvrable and smooth to steer. There is a solar panel on the deck which keeps the battery charged, this can be checked as there is an voltage tester mounted in the cabin. As you can see by the photos there is a VHF radio and a music radio. She has been professionally wired with double sockets and fuse box for 240v shore power facilities. There is a cassette toilet but there are also fittings in hull to fit a sea toilet. The outboard shown on the pictures is not part of the sale, although the Seagull would more than push her along if you didn't have one already. She is at the moment on a Quay in Chichester harbour so can be viewed if required. I do have my yacht listed elsewhere and may withdraw it from the auction if sold earlyCash on collection please no PayPal
