This boat has been all over the east coast and the Bahamas and has taken me through many a rough spot. It is a very tough and well balanced boat. It sails to weather very well and handles well downwind also. I recently sailed it into West Palm Beach harbour from the Bahamas and she is at anchor with me now. It has everything needed to continue sailing although the Honda 9.9 mounted on the stern needs a new carburator. (or maybe a rebuild). I've got great ground tackle and the boat holds well in virtually any condition. The sails are in decent condition and would be fine for another adventure or two but they are going to be due to be replaced in another year or two. They need some tlc but are still in good serviceable condition. Tanzers were designed for the Great Lakes, where the chop is square and the storms come fierce. Their spars, rigging and hardware are larger than you would find on a comparable-sized Hunter or Catalina.Boat supplies: New marine batteries x2 (purchased in December) Industrial solar panel GPS x2 (lowrance and garmin GPS map 172c) Digital charts Harness Extra lines 9.9 Honda outboard long shaft (needs new carb or rebuild) Alpine stero system Bose stereo speakers Flare gun and flares Life vests Sail patching material 2 danforth anchors (18 lbs and 12 lbs) 33 lb Bruce anchor +25 ft of chain. Needs a small patch by sheet eyelet and weather protector is fraying off.) Main (good condition. Needs aft eyelet for reefing. But can reef easily if you loose foot the main.) New Jersey to Maine Hudson River and adjacent waterways. Florida keys Bahamas Florida East coast
On Jun-08-17 at 07:31:09 PDT, seller added the following information:I have some changes to make to the listing. 1: It is a Tanzer 26 not a 272: It is a modified keel and only draws 3.5 feet If you do an internet search for Tanzer 26 a great site will show up which is all about the Tanzer 26 (ebay won't let me link to it from the auction)
