Inventory # 10055 Location: Wanchese, NC General Description: This 1965 34' Hatteras Aft Cabin was partially submerged due to freeze damage to the sea strainer servicing the air conditioning system until bilge pumps and batteries stopped operating. Hull in fair condition for age with chalky gelcoat. Curled and peeling paint over entire hull exterior. No evidence of water in salon area. Galley water level estimated approximately 2’ above sole. Forward V-berth and aft cabin water levels reported approximately 1’-1.5’ above the sole. Unrelated hull damage was noted to the starboard side air intake vents. Four of the six vents display damaged or missing metal fins. Exterior railing, stainless steel stanchions with vinyl coated lifeline, fair to good condition for age. Rear and side cabin doors in poor condition. Has aluminum anchor roller in good condition. Batteries were discharged and no AC power was available at time of inspection so no electrical or accessories could be tested. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection. Other: AC: Marine Air SCMCD16K/2, 16000 BTU’s reported submerged, appears to be in good condition but not tested. Also a Kenmore window unit, not labeled, installed aft salon, not tested. Carpet, exterior, snap on carpet panels on Flybridge and Aft Deck, appeared in fair condition, some stains, Gauges and controls, Faria gauges, not tested, appear in fair condition and Morse controls operates normally. Flybridge: Finish is poor, windscreen is faded. Rubrail: Stainless steel, in overall good condition but gouges to starboard side aft amidships. Swim platform in poor condition, platform is lacking support. Trim tabs, appear in fair condition, not tested, Bennett, hydraulic, pump appears to have been submerged, not tested. Upholstery, exterior, minimal upholstery, flybridge seat cushions in fair condition. Washdown: fresh water, appears in fair condition, not tested, Shurflo 3.0 GPM Diaphragm pump, not tested Water heater: Force 10, eleven gallon, appears in good condition, not tested. Windshield in fair condition for age. Other windows: Cabin windows, in fair condition, corrosion to aluminum frames. The port side forward windshield glass is broken but intact. Evidence of prior leakage below windows is visible. Florida 6% state sales tax will apply for Florida residents. Storage charges will accrue after the 10 day grace period. Engines: Twin Chrysler V-8 gas Inboard Engines. Engines submerged. Unknown if engines preserved but Engines appeared to have new oil. No water sighted on lube oil dipstick, levels appear normal. It was not possible to test engines as no power to vessel. Extra spare engine accessory parts sighted.
Transmission: Borg Warner transmissions, port ID tag missing, Starboard ID tag not legible. Transmissions submerged. The dipstick on the starboard transmission would not unscrew to check. The port transmission was a threaded plug and unable to remove.
Generator / Battery: There is no generator. Batteries had been submerged. Batteries: 27 Group, 2 appear in good condition, 2 appear in poor condition. Two batteries had been replaced and numerous wire ends were changed. The scrap wire ends were left on the boat. Battery boxes at the rear between the engines still showed some water and galvanic corrosion to connecting cables. Statpower True Charge 20Amp/3 bank Charger appears in good condition, not tested.
Electronics: Icom IC-M302, VHF Radio, Furuno L5-4100 echo Sounder, Flybridge stereo Pioneer DEH-1600, no electronics tested, condition unknown.
Galley: Galley with sink, Emerson Microwave, Norcold Refrigerator/freezer (refrigerator appeared unaffected), Princess 3-burner stove (portion of stove showed possible water damage) and Princess oven and Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven (appears unused). No appliances tested, condition unknown. The galley lower two drawers show water damage. The galley carpet was lifted revealing recently installed wood sole which was in good condition. Interior with salon, galley, forward V-berth and aft cabin. The aft cabin appears to have been recently refinished including fuel tanks & bed framing replacement. Upholstery in good condition, bedding cushions and love seat cushions appear in good condition. Headliner in fair condition, vinyl headliner has been painted. Carpet in overall fair condition but worn and lower areas show water damage.
Ground Tackle: There is no windlass.
Canvas, Mast Rigging, Sails: Flybridge bimini frame/canvas, torn, bent frame, in poor condition. Aft Deck bimini frame/canvas in fair condition.
Head: Two heads: Forward head with sink, toilet in forward head, no shower. Aft head with sink, sink shower attachment and no toilet. (The portable toilet in the forward head could possibly be for the aft head. Neither toilet tested.)Shipping: Item sold "where is".
